Massage Services

Swedish massage:
One of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation.

Shiatsu:
In the Japanese language, shiatsu means "finger pressure". Shiatsu techniques include massages with fingers, thumbs, and palms; assisted stretching; and joint

Acupressure:
It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body. In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians. Pressure may be applied by hand, by elbow, or with various devices.

Reflexology:
Although it's often combined with massage, technically it’s not a form of massage. It's a separate practice that applies pressure to reflex zones on your feet, hands or outer ears to affect your entire body.

Deep Tissue:
Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but with deeper pressure which is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

Hot Stone Therapy:
Each 1 ½ -hour hot stone massage therapy is a combination session with massage and hot stones applied to sore and over worked muscles, this combination promotes deeper muscle relaxation through the placement of smooth, water-heated stones at key points on the body.

Aromatherapy:
Essential oils that are inhaled into the lungs offer both psychological and physical benefits. Not only does the aroma of the natural essential oil stimulate the brain to trigger a reaction, but when inhaled into the lungs, the natural constituents (naturally occurring chemicals) can supply therapeutic benefit

KATHY CHANDLER

My name is Kathy Chandler, I have been doing massages for over 10 years, I enjoy helping people and making them feel better. My massages have a continuous flow, allowing the body to circulate the energy of healing. My intuitive abilities allow me to listen to the needs of my client’s body, increasing a wonderful experience. Each massage is customized to the individual. I use a combination of techniques, such as Deep Tissue, Swedish, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu, Acupressure, Reflexology and Hot Stone Therapy. Each technique has different properties and are all utilized throughout each massage. Hot Stone therapy is a ninety minute massage only. Adding the hot stones with the above techniques gives more depth of tension to be released.
